Rethink How You Work in Your Organization: Innovation Workshop to Stop, Improve, and Automate
In today’s fast-paced work environment, time is one of the most valuable (and often misused) resources. Many teams are weighed down by outdated processes, unnecessary meetings, and repetitive tasks that get in the way of creativity and meaningful progress.
That’s where our “Rethink How You Work” innovation workshop comes in. This session is designed to help teams identify what’s no longer serving them, free up time, and explore smarter, more innovative ways of working (especially applying AI).
Whether your organization is looking to improve internal efficiency, create space for new initiatives, or foster a culture of continuous improvement, this workshop offers a simple, actionable framework for change.
Workshop Overview: Two-Part Framework for Rethinking Work
I. Problems – What Should We Stop, Improve, or Automate?
We start by helping participants examine their current tasks and workflows. The goal is to pinpoint areas that consume too much time or don’t add enough value.
Participants are guided through three key questions:
Stop it: What tasks or activities no longer add value and can be stopped or simplified?
Improve it: What processes could be done better or more efficiently to save time and energy?
Automate it: Are there any repetitive tasks that could be automated to free up time?
We encourage people to name specific tasks or processes clearly so the insights are practical and transferable.
To help participants think broadly, we provide Catalysts—common categories where inefficiencies tend to hide:
Administrative Tasks
Meetings
Requests or Approvals
Invoicing and Purchase Requests
Policies or Compliance Tasks
Resource Planning
Daily or Weekly Repetitive Tasks
Task Tracking
This structured exploration helps surface both “quick wins” and more strategic improvement opportunities.
II. Solutions – What Will We Do With the Time We Save?
After identifying what to stop, improve, or automate, we shift toward possibilities. This is where innovation comes into play. AI may be able to help with the work process or automate tasks.
We ask:
How might we utilize the time we save from eliminating or improving inefficient tasks to create more value for our team and the organization?
Participants consider:
New projects they’ve wanted to explore
Ways to improve systems or collaboration
Ideas that solve multiple problems through innovation
Initiatives inspired by the time and space they’ve reclaimed
This section helps move the conversation from operational fixes to strategic thinking. It’s about empowering individuals and teams to use their time more intentionally, driving value where it matters most.
