Description of Duke School of Business Video: On February 11, 2014, the Duke community came together to celebrate the life and work of Professor J. Gregory Dees, founder of the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) and the “father of social entrepreneurship education.”
The event included a welcome and introduction from CASE Executive Director, Erin Worsham; a touching video tribute from Fuqua alumni whose paths Greg helped to shape; reflections from Sally Osberg, President and CEO of the Skoll Foundation and David Bornstein, journalist, author and co-founder of the Solutions Journalism Network; and a discussion of Greg’s work by Cathy Clark, Director, CASE i3; Tom Tierney, Chairman and Co-Founder, The Bridgespan Group; and, David Bornstein.
